Incomplete nutrition information Jun 05, 2009
By Freelancer The golden rule of supplements: Never buy a nutrition supplement if you don't know what's in it.
I thought I was crazy when I looked at the nutrition facts label for this line of gainers and saw that they completely leave out sugar content (the most they say is "no artificial sweeteners," which is key for "loaded with sugar"). Since they intentionally avoid hiding this information (isn't that illegal?), even on their website, I'm assuming it's packed with sugar as the main ingredient. Theoretically, you can make the same thing by mixing a bag of cake batter with a lean protein supplement. Or even mixing a few cans of coke with your protein powder. Of course that would be crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised if the sugar/simple carb content was similar to the Russian Bear 5000 product.
In addition to carb content, one of the most important things to look for in a weight gainer/protein supplement is the amount of sugar it contains. You cannot know the type to carbs (simple/complex?) or calories you're getting unless you have an idea of the sugar content. I'll change this review if they start giving consumers transparent and accurate information. Until then, I'm steering clear of this stuff. If they leave out one of the most basic ingredients that should affect your buying decision, what else might be in this product that they're not telling us?

After reading the reviews on Vitol Russian Bear 5000 i was sold so i bought (2) 4lb bottles. When they arrived i quickly made a shake using cold milk and i was COMPLETLEY BLOWN AWAY!!!!. IT TASTED AMAZING!!!!!. The shakes also provide u with alot of energy so i have one pre-work out and post-work out. I gained about 3 pounds in the first 4 days of using the product so as a weight gainer it works 100% so i am HIGHLY recommending it to anyone who needs to pack on some healthy pounds!!!!
o ps i subscribed my purchases so i get (2) bottles a month it saves me alot of money that way, i live in the bahamas an our local GNC stores dont carry it so i can resell them for a lil profit because the brand has a really good rep down here

It works, period. Jan 26, 2007

Gained 5lbs I that had been chasing for months in my first week of use, while taking well under the recommended servings. 1-3 scoops in water daily, eating normally and working out 4-6 days a week. It's going on three weeks and combined with rigorous workouts and rest I'm not slimming down like I normally do, I'm tightening and widening. Noticable to others. Found it much cheaper locally though.

The Best on the Market Sep 27, 2010
By Leland Ok guys, take it from someone who has a tiny frame and always has been skinny my whole life. I could eat and eat and workout and do all the right things and it would take months and sometimes years to get where i'm at or gain 10 to 15 pounds. I weighed 125 my 11th grade year and then 135 my 12th grade year. I started training and lifting hard after high school and got up to about 150-155 after 3 years. I then searched for a weight gainer that had the most calories on the market and found this. You can't beat it for the price and the insane amounts of vitamins and such you get it in. I finished a jug in 4 days with 3 gallons of skim milk and gained 7lbs of nothing, but pure muscle.I would dare say i gained maybe a half a pound of fat.i would take one after breakfast immediately, after lunch, after supper, then right before bed. I said all that to say this. If you get serious about taking this and workout with it, I GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL GAIN THE WEIGHT YOU HAVE ALWAYS WANTED. I never had so much energy in my life during my workouts and wasn't tired or sore at all the following days. I just ordered me 2 jugs again because i want to get up to 190. Currently at 172. 2 jugs of this and some intense workouts and i'll be there. I hope everyone enjoys.

Great Energy but beware Aug 12, 2011
By Maksym This is a great product to boost your energy during a workout. Yet its not a weight gainer because you have to consume a serving a day. Well seems like nothing wrong with that until you find out that a serving is a gallon of milk mixed with 4 huge scoops of that stuff. ONLY 3 Servings in a container of 4lb. Yes that is definitely NOT a weight gainer if milf alone contains half (2500 of 5000) written on the box. No one will drink that sugar crap all day lol.. Trust me i done it i felt bloated, gassy, and sick with in first 10 min of consumption. As far as taste its a lot like cheap melted ice cream with cup of sugar. Also 30 dollars for 3 servings is expansive. just have an extra meal instead. If i didn't change your mind yet BUY it and see for yourself i am just looking out.
