I have been a slim fast drinker for years. One taste of this shake and I'm hooked! I like to put it in the freezer for about 30 min. before drinking it so it is nice and COLD. I love chocolate so the milk chocolate flavor is my pick. It is a much smoother chocolate than the slim fast milk chocolate. I just wish it came in 6 or bonus 8 pack like the slim fast. So far I've only seen it in 4 pack. Because of this it is a bit more costly than slim fast. But again the taste is much better. I highly recommend it!!

While this protien shake is one of the better tasting I've had, it's not a real protien shake. This only has 10grams of protien compared to most shakes that have about 30g and up.
The real "keep away" factor for me is that this shake has 29 g of carbs/ 18 g of this is SUGAR. If you're serious about weight loss, there are much better protien shakes on the market.
Try EAS Whey Protien - It comes in a bag and each serving contains 170 calories/only 3 grams of carbs and 30g of protein. I haven't tried chocolate but vanilla is very tasty, especially with (skim)or almond milk.
In response to a user comment, yes this product is marketed as an "appetite suppressor" rather than protein shake - however, if you're trying to lose weight - you will need to avoid sugary products, such as this. Spring for a protein shake with MORE protein and LESS sugar. The EAS Whey Protein will NOT taste as good - Special K drinks do taste much better - that is for sure (18 grams of sugar!). Sometimes as a 'treat' I will take 1 scoop EAS Whey Protein (chocolate) , 1 banana, 1 cup almond milk and 1 cup ice - blend well in a blender - and you have a DELICIOUS and HEALTHY protein shake.

I had tried drinking Slim Fast in the past as a replacement for breakfast, but the "tinny" taste made me gag. The Special K drinks taste just like having chocolate milk! As some of the other reviewers noted, they do taste much better ice cold than at room temp. I have also added some of the shake to my morning coffee as a replacement for creamer/sugar, and that was great too!
My only complaint is that I don't feel very full after drinking them like I do with some of the other shakes I've tried. If I workout in the morning and then drink this for breakfast, I'm hungry again about an hour later. I think maybe they would be better as a mid-afternoon snack to fight off those 4:00 munchies instead of a meal replacement.

I really like this product. I have been trying to loose the "last ten pounds" for a few months now. The problem is I am hooked on chocolate. Rather than completely give up on my goal, I have switched to these as a meal replacement. Definitely wish Amazon would get these (and at a reasonable price). They are excellent!

While other people have ponited out the heavy SUGAR content and average protein, i have been using the shakes for 2 weeks and lost 7 1/2 pounds. What i have done is had 3 shakes daily, 50 oz of water, 1 to 2 coffee's and dinner. Dinner is primarly a great protein (chicken, turkey, veal, sometimes steak or a burger while only having a small amount of carbs. i do not feel lacking (although the weekends are harder......)or hungry. All of this being said I have not made a true comparisant to other shakes. This one is working though. When i called the Special K hot line and asked them if they have a suggested diet to follow with the shakes they said no just to eat a sensable dinner. I figured that out myself and was hoping that there would be a better response.
For someone that needs to loose 10 - 30 pounds this is a great option to get started.
