Best for you apparently Jun 11, 2010

I used to drink muscle milk after working out and myoplex shakes. I am a vegetarian so other than eggs and peanuts I dont get much protein otherwise.
After reading a consumer report article on both Muscle Milk and EAS Myoplex containing way more Heavy Metals than allowable by the FDA (Arsenic, Cadmium, and Lead) I returned my remaining Muscle Milks and Myoplex to Costco for a full refund. (Costco has since discontinued selling Muscle Milk).
According to Consumer Reports Solgar Whey to go has the least amount of heavy metals (virtually undetectable amounts) which appeals to me. (not a huge fan of lead in my drinks)
I got the 32 vanilla bean from amazon and it tastes way better than the Myoplex chalk anyway so im stoked. Win, Win.

Beware, they have added soy to this formerly good product! Nov 30, 2010
By M. Wysong I am incredibly disappointed in Solgar and they have lost my business all together for their poor decision to add soy to this WHEY protein. I started buying Whey to Go 7.5 years ago after my previous whey protein started adding soy without any warning. That addition caused me to have a major reaction and land in the ER because I am highly allergic to soy. It's nearly impossible to find a good protein powder without soy. So, I found Whey to Go. I have been drinking at least three servings a day for nearly 8 years and have been dependent on this product to be one of my few options without soy. For many of us, soy is deadly and we NEED whey protein as a safe alternative. I can't believe Solgar started adding soy to this protein! It makes no sense. I couldn't find my usual 32 oz container in the stores for a while, then noticed that the smaller container said "new and improved." That is never a good sign, so I read the ingredients. Sure enough, there was soy. I checked the Solgar site and ALL of their whey proteins now have soy. If I wanted a soy protein, I'd buy a soy protein. But no, I want a pure WHEY protein, and Whey to Go is no longer safe for me.
I am currently pregnant, so protein is more important than ever. I'm bummed that I have to go searching and experimenting with new proteins to find a product that won't kill me. What a terrible move to put soy in your whey protein Solgar! I was spending nearly $100 a month on this stuff, but never again will I support Solgar.

GREAT product! Feb 15, 2009

I have been using Solgar's "Whey to Go" for several years. The reason I buying this brand? First, it's a delicious low fat, easily absorbed protein powder that tastes just like natural vanilla bean. Also, in Whey to Go there is NO soy and NO protein powder derived from cows treated with rBGH (recombinant bovine growth hormone) and NO artificial sweeteners. It's a terrific way to get the low fat protein we don't always get in our diet and it's very easy to digest. I mix 2-3 scoops of "Whey to Go" ~ vanilla bean flavor in a glass of low fat milk for quick energy. For a delicious recipe I add 3 scoops Whey to Go vanilla flavor in my blender along with one banana, 1 cup low fat milk, 1 cup apple juice, 2-3 Tablespoons Nutiva's Hemp chocolate shake, 2 cups frozen peach slices, 1 cup blue berries or blackberries, 1 teaspoon vanilla and blend. I usually have more than enough to freeze a glass in the freezer to have later as a delicious chocolate "protein" ice cream. There are so many other combinations of fruit, juices, milk that can be blended together with Whey to Go! And it is healthy!

soy and fructose Dec 22, 2010
By Janice Milburn i have used this protein powder in the past because it was made from whey not soy. now soy is listed as well which, if not organic, is almost definitely genetically engineered-a cheap protein source. whey to go is not cheap and solgar should get rid of the GE soy and use only whey. in addition fructose is the second ingredient. i am now looking for a quality whey protein powder with less sugar.

Good taste Aug 15, 2007
By Rafting Girl According to the company this whey protein powder is soy free. I use it in smoothies along with a ground flax seed mix for a healthy breakfast. I think it has a smooth, non-chalkie, vanilla flavor. So I rate it high for health benefits and taste.
