Works at 75 ft through a sliding glass window. Four options is enough for most people. It is very reliable . Pentair is great also.

Ok - first, the remote pictured was received and works perfectly. Our old one, same model, was tossed into the pool by the child of a friend. Even after drying it out and re-soldering the battery contacts, it stopped working so we just gave up and decided to buy a new one.
I searched all over the web and of course Amazon had the best price and I love doing business with them. I was a little miffed that a little remote could be $165.00, but I had no choice.
A few days later, a large box arrives that contains the remote AND a new base receiving unit. I didn't need that! No wonder why it cost so much. I could have easily programmed the new remote to work with my existing receiver.
So - can't really tell if the fault is with Pentair for not offering a lone remote, or with Amazon for posting a poor description.
Either way, I'm happy to have a new remote since it's finally cool enough to fire up the spa. I guess I can put that base unit on eBay.
