5Best flavor ever in a protein bar!  Feb 06, 2010 By annielaurie "lover of books, music, animals, life"
I think I've tried most of them in my quest for the best-tasting protein bar: Promax, Clif Builder's, Think Thin, Met rX, Balance, you name it. My previous fave was the Promax Cookie Dough, UNTIL I discovered the Pure Protein before a recent hike. I grabbed a few different flavors, but wasn't wowed until I tried the Chocolate Peanut Butter. It's got a very intense peanut butter flavor, which I LOVE, and which is also very unlike just about every peanut butter flavored protein bar I've ever tried.
If you like peanut butter and you're looking for a protein bar that will tide you over for a couple-few hours, you can't go wrong with this one. Highly recommended. It's also low in sugar; I'm assuming it contains sugar alcohols like sugar-free chocolate does.

5My favorite protein bar  Nov 22, 2009 By Ikat
I take these with me when I travel, for places where I don't trust the food or flights where there might not be any. I like the taste and texture of these and I had a nutritionist look at them and she agreed that their protein content is good. Best of all, these are smaller than the ones sold in retail stores, which makes them just the right size. I really recommend them.

5BEST Protein Bar Ever! Best Flavor!! NO Calcium Caseinate!!!  Mar 26, 2011 By Jeff N
REVIEW FOR CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER PURE PROTEIN BARS...

They thought I was lactose intolerant. Turned out to be calcium caseinate. And Pure Protein Bars are about the ONLY Protein Bars that do NOT have that awful stuff in them...

I always get the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pure Protein Bars. They taste great. And they make me feel really good. They are good for after working out. And they are good to have around for blood sugar leveling.

The Carb to Protein ratio is even great!

Love Them!!

5Taste Great for a Protein Bar  Sep 25, 2011 By Amazon Queen "Amazon Queen"
People this isn't a snickers or hersheys bar.... Its a protein bar and it taste like one, but its really good for a protein bar. I have tasted many others and this is my favorite. I tried the Smores and the Chocolate chip and I wanted to choke... Those were awful. I now just buy these peanut butter ones.

20 g of protein for only 200 calories - does not have 180 like the picture says. At 200 cal and 20g of protein you cant ask for much more. I have tried to find other bars with 20g of protein and they are all higher in calories.... No thanks. Many times i'll eat 1/2 for 100 cal and 10g of protein for a little snack. I no longer buy granola bars filled with sugar.

These are chewy not crunchy.

Put in fridge, I think they taste better from the fridge compared to a room temp box in the pantry. I always have 2-3 in the fridge and replace as I eat them.

They are dense and do keep you full for a while. Some days I'll grab an apple or banana and one of these bars and I am good to go until lunch.

They have other flavors, but after the disgusting smores and chocolate chip bars, I'll save my money and stick with these or try to find them at a local store first where I can buy one to taste and not be stuck with 2 boxes.

And last..... Hello.... They are less than 80 cents for each bar when you use subscribe and save... 9 dollars for two boxes... Hell yeah :)

2Not for everyone  Apr 02, 2011 By Wcmne
After eating one of these bars, I honestly can't figure out why they had such a high rating. Taste is mediocre even for protein bar standards and the sugar alcohols wreak havoc on the digestion system. Flatulence is better side of the experience and it doesn't really go away for about 24 hours. Buyer beware
