5impressed  Jan 17, 2011 By player
I am really impressed with this little vacuum (Pool Blaster Max)! I have an indoor Endless Pool that developed a white water mold problem; it took about a month to get cleared up but would have taken much longer without this little guy. It took care of the smallest of particles that had settled on the bottom and benches as the remediating chemicals did their work. It's very easy to set up and use -- just make sure you read and follow all the instructions. The description says it's bagless; that isn't true -- mine came with a filter bag and a microfilter bag that fit inside it, so if this is a big deal to you, I'd call and ask first.

1Unreliable quality  Sep 04, 2009 By Bill P.
I bought the Pool Buster Max, now called the Pool Blaster Max. It comes with a one year warranty, which is really great if you live down south. But the season is not much more than 3 months in New York. I used it for one summer and it was terrific. The next June, it didn't work. So I had 3 months for about $225.00. The warranty ran out before the time I wanted to use it the second summer. I returned it to Water Tech and was told it needed a new motor at $150 and some other part that I tuned out after hearing the $150. I told the person that the cost was not reasonable. Then she offered me a completely new unit for $155 plus shipping (about $11.00). That was under some kind of replacement plan, sort of a good will gesture because it came with a new one year warranty. I asked her, rhetorically, why I would want to invest another $166.00 in addition to the $11.00 that I spent to return the defective item for a product that had absolutely no reliability or durability.
I would not advise anyone to buy this product unless they were prepared to buy a replacement every year. There are better and more reliable methods to clean up a swimming pool. I just use my 10 year old very reliable Polaris. It never has failed me. And it requires virtually nothing more than emptying the bag of debris. I have the Polaris model that has its own water pump. That pump has never failed. I replaced the styrofoam float once and the scrubby on the tail once. Total costs of replacement parts in 10 years for my Polaris - $10.00 or so.

5water tech pool blaster max  Sep 25, 2011 By cecele
We have purchased two of the water tech pool blaster max products and are very satisfied. It cleans our small pool(11'x14'x4') in about 15 minutes. It cleans our larger pool(36'xx16'x6') in 30-45 minutes depending on the amount of debris. Two comments that may be helpful.Always thoroughly drain the unit after using. Especially the battery compartment. Leaving the power switch off and the pool blaster on it's side during non-use has helped us to keep the battery dry and efficient when recharging. Also. the fine filter sleeve really works when it comes to picking up fine debris such as sand or dirt. This product is very compact, efficient and portable. No more priming lines and using our pool pump to clean which took at least an hour from start to finish.

5Great "handy-vac" for frequent sweeping up annoying sand in pool  Jun 25, 2011 By Eric L Jorgensen
Our pool problem has been small amounts of sand in pool and the Pool Blaster works well for this - as easy to sue as a handy-vac in the home. Since we cover pool and don't have problems with larger amounts of debris we have put our Polaris in storage.

5Works pretty good and good customer service  Aug 24, 2011 By B. Andrews
This little vac does work pretty good. You have to move slow but it works well. Mine had a bad part in it. It was still functional but not right. I called the manufacturer and they shipped me 2 replacement parts for free. I just had to email them a copy of my receipt. The customer service was appreciated! Mistakes happen. What matters is how it is dealt with.
