5Another Great Model from Revell  Sep 13, 2010 By Motoman
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R2VFCMT14FNQXY This is another great model from Revell. The kit comes with a easy to read but very detailed instruction sheet that includes photographs of the real plane for reference as well as suggested readings. The kit itself is very straightforward to build. The details are very good and you have optional materials to put on the plane such as external fuel tanks and machine guns. It took me a few evenings to build it. I recommend this kit to everyone.

4Great model kit  Aug 08, 2009 By James Glen Tidwell
This was my first model kit to build in almost 10 years. I was impressed by the simplicity of putting the parts together,as almost no fitting was required at all. Everything went together as you would expect them to. Attention to detail on the part of Revell was very nice.

4About what you would expect from a Revell model  Jan 07, 2010 By Jesper Johansson
Good model. Works well for a 10-12 year old. It's not too difficult to put together and gives them several hours of fun, plus 15 minutes if you count their throwing rocks at the finished model.

5Great Fun  Aug 23, 2011 By jaspoet
I know this Revell 51D Mustang model is a "toy" but I bought it for my 55 year old Dad. He's retired and I wanted to give him a new hobby. He loved reading about the plane's history and working on the plane. It filled up a weekend for him, all the parts fit together nicely (after he filed down the edges) and between the gluing and the painting (he did his own custom paint job), it provided him with hours of enjoyment. Now his friends want to get in on the action too. I'd recommend this for any young person or those young at heart that want to flex their building muscles and learn a little bit about our history. Also the model is historically accurate and to scale and looks great (not cheap) once completed/painted. Would make for a nice display once you've done a few of them.

5mustang plane model  May 17, 2010 By Kay Brady
Great model for my 13 year old, wwII fan. He built it without much trouble (of course he is a smart kid). Great "toy" for following directions and using fine motor skill.
