5Not quality Calories, but none the less, LOTS of qualities  Apr 10, 2012 By Dylan Summers
With the size scoop this weight gainer comes with and the amount of calories per serving, I only use one scoop per serving which is half of the recommended serving. For someone who wants to put on mass quickly, I think this is the optimal amount as there is no way the human body will digest a serving of 1200+ calories. With that being said, the taste isn't bad at all, and for the price, it's the weight gainer to get if putting on weight is your primary motivation.

I would also recommend to anyone with these types of goals to also supplement amino acids separately to help with digestion and absorption and if your hitting the gym hard, definitely adding a natural test and gh booster like D Aspartic Acid Bulk Powder 250 Grams (which is what I take) or even some longjack or trib to elevate hormone levels in order to use those extra calories build more muscle is not a bad idea at all.

5TEH TASTE IS BAD!!!!!!  Jun 18, 2011 By Smorgybork
OMGZ IT DOESNT TASTE VERY GOOD!!!!!!

But rating a weight gain supplement on taste would be stupid, wouldn't it?

Look people, if you're complaining about the taste of this and giving it a low rating based on that, you need to stick to eating milkshakes and being a flabby ectomorph with flapjack boobys.

This stuff is not supposed to taste good. I take a multivitamin every morning but I don't chew it up and complain that it tastes like %#@% flavored pez, I just swallow the damn thing. That's exactly what you should be doing with this. The "flavor" is added as a side bonus for morons who need everything to taste like marshmallows and chocolate.

The stuff works (as long as you're not a little princess who has tears and mascara stream down their face every time something doesn't taste like a big-mac).

5best mass gainer i've tried  Dec 14, 2008 By Student VT
I've tried several different mass gainer products and have routinely been disappointed. Started with a smaller package of this and bought the larger bag shortly thereafter. It dissolves very easily and tastes great. I usually only do a half-serving at a time so i blend it with their double rich chocolate protein powder and the flavor gets even better. Also, a very cost-efficient method to take in nutrition when you do the math. At $40 for a 12lb bag, you get 16 servings (20,000 calories). This means you're paying $2 for a 1,000 calorie meal that isn't filled with garbage; try finding that at a fast food place or even cooking for yourself.

5Great Product  Oct 09, 2009 By SonicBoomer "b00m"
ON's Serious Mass is a great product, as long as you are aware what you are buying. To touch on a few things people mention in their reviews:

--YES...the scoops are large (standard serving of two scoops is 334 Grams). You're drinking a protein shake not a coke, so deal with it. BSN's True Mass requires 3 smaller scoops (145 grams), 18 servings a tub, at only 630 calories a serving, and $64.99 for some comparison to another leading weight gainer out there. The 2200 gainer that GNC sells used to come with the same size scoop...now requires 3 scoops totaling 485 grams, 1850 calories, 5 servings a tub at $46.99...so again, for what you're getting and trying to accomplish, it's a small price to pay.

--Mixing. You're not making chocolate milk...again, this powder has some substance to it, as should be expected. If you don't enjoy the headache of using a blender, split it into two servings. Depending on what you're mixing it with that's still at least 600 calories a serving, and you can fill the gap between meals with it. With only one scoop it also will mix perfectly in a shaker cup no clumping - as long as you pour the liquid first, then add the powder. As with most protein powders it will settle if you put the powder in first, and then clump when it gets wet as you pour the milk on it...and those clumps can be stubborn to break apart.

--Taste. Protein powders are flavored as a favor to the consumer. Hardcore guys could care less as they were sucking down eggs and whatever was needed long before someone decided to make blueberry flavored creatine or peanut butter chocolate flavored powder. The taste is fine for what it is - if you don't like it, try a different product. Just know the better it tastes, a lot of times the worse it is. Everyone loves muscle milk for the taste...have you looked at the fat grams in there compared to some other protein shakes?

All in all this is great product. You've gotta consume 3,000 EXTRA calories to put on one pound of weight, keeping that in mind with the proper diet and working out you just bought between 7 - 9lbs depending on what you mix it with (maybe more)...and yes, if you do not workout and eat right you will still gain weight, just not the kind you want ; )

5Serious Mass? Oh yeah!  Jan 06, 2011 By Ian Henneberger
Price: Initially seems high but think about what you're getting for $40: like 20 solid meals (well not solid per-say). Yeah you could get a greater volume of chicken for the same price but think about it this way, have you ever run across chicken with creatine in it? Yeah. That would be weird.

Mixology: Haven't tried this in a shaker bottle; I always go straight from the blender. The verdict? Smooth. We're talking Sean Connery covered in baby oil smooth. Like a seal dipped in grease shooting down a water slide. No clumps in here. You find any clumps you can personally call me, any time of day, and day of the week, and work out your feelings. Maybe we can make up over a tall glass of chocolate weight gainer.

Taste: I see a lot of review on here getting down on the taste; it's a weight gainer not a jelly donut!!!! It comes in chocolate, vanilla, probably strawberry...if you want something crazy like orange sherbet...shut up. You're here to pack on Serious Mass®, not have a tasty snack. It's not supposed to taste good. They do that so only tough badasses use it.

Gains? You Betcha! Go from scrawny weakling to scrawny weakling+5 pounds in a month's time. Oh yea and you have to lift for it to work. Kinda sucks but uknow lol

Name: Serious Mass? Kind of false advertising if you ask me. The sun..that has serious mass. This is really only a few Kilograms so it seems like kind of an overstatement but like what do you expect typical Madison Avenue type scam job. I watch Mad Men. I know what goes on. Trust me.
