Excellent Complex Protein Jul 01, 2010
By D. Kieran Kelleher
"DKK"
Although I started out my training regimen with this complex protein, I have moved on to the All Natural Pro Complex, which is very similar to this one except that Stevia is used as the sweetener instead of sucralose. This protein tastes great, even when mixed with water. It mixes really easily, even if you just stir it with a spoon in a glass of water. I typically take a very heaped single scoop since the serving size of 2 scoops (60g protein) is more than I need in a single protein intake. I recommend buying a Blender brand shaker bottle and bring it to the gym with a portion of this protein powder in it and just mix with water and it drink after your workout while eating a piece of fruit such as banana at the same time to get the muscle-repair and protein synthesis off to a quick start.
PS: Be careful not to accidentally buy the Pro Complex Gainer version since some amazon items will show the picture for the regular Pro Complex, but the Gainer (high carb) version will be in the description and that is what they will ship you, which may not be what you want.

Weight Loss Product May 20, 2011
By Jamie White Only 28 years old, newly married, and 360lbs, I needed so serious intervention for my health. After seeing many doctors and considering weightloss surgery, I turned to this clean source of Protein Whey. I learned from reading health websites, books, articles, reviews, etc. that protein weigh is natural and can assist in weight loss.
After purchasing this product on many occasions and using it as a meal replacement for breakfast and lunch (2 scoops each time) the weight began falling off me. Many fitness gurus told me that it was too much protein, which I knew and I made sure that I drunk at least 6 - 17oz bottles of water a day. Currently, I an 29 years old (one year later) and I weight eaxactly 271 pounds! With moderate exercise (walk 30 minutes a day, watching what I eat, taking vitamins such as B-12, Cod Liver Oil, CLAs, and carb blockers (when those cravings hit me on the weekend), I was able to lose the weight over a period of time in a healthy way. Not too fast and not too slow.
This product is great and is not only for those buff men and women who lift weights, but also for those who would like to lose a few extra pounds, or like me a whole lot of pounds! Simply use this as a meal replacement for breakfast and lunch, have a"begger's meal" before 6:00 and plenty of vegetables and 3 fruits throughout the day. Oh, and don't forget plenty of water. this product will literally have you shedding water and fat throughout the day.....naturally.

Excellent Post Work-Out Protein Aug 02, 2010
By Disco Fever

I've tried a couple of others before this - BSN Syntha 6 and BeachBody Men's Strength and Muscle Formula - and I won't be looking for another. I've been using it about a month now and my gains are noticeable. I'm sure there are lots of other products that will give good gains but do they also taste excellent and mix easily? The chocolate tastes like YooHoo and goes down very easy. It doesn't bloat at all. It also mixes like a dream. I use a funnel and pour two scoops into my water bottle ( not a shaker bottle just a plain old 16 oz water bottle ) and with a couple of shakes it is complete mixed. Since using Pro Complex, I've also tried Nitro-Core, Vassive-NO, and ON's Casein and I only have good things to say about the company and their products. I've recommended Pro Complex to a couple of friends and they speak highly of it as well.

BYE BYE SYNTHA 6. Apr 04, 2012
By Harkanwar Anand Most reviews on Amazon about proteins seem to circle about the same thing but never go into details of which protein they are comparing it with. After reading several hundred reviews of proteins I found you can tell everything you want to know about the protein by reading the words of the reviewers. I am not tall and not particularly lean so there is not much I can experiment with because the margin for error in sculpting a body like mine is minimum. I am going to write a review in which I will compare this with my previous protein SYNTHA 6 by BSN. Also I give two hoots about taste. I was looking for a complete protein which doesn't have many calories. I was using Syntha 6 for a while and like a person who cannot believe their protein is bad, I continued using it because it was giving me some results but wasn't really helping me get fitter because of excessive calories. I'm doing something called P90X which is an extensive workout (includes yoga, high impact exercise, Karate, core exercises, ab workouts, cardio and the regular shoulders, arms, chest, VERY extensive leg workouts) BUT I really thought Syntha 6 was not giving me enough. I have been taking Syntha 6 for about 2 years now but realized it made me a little lazy sometimes and upon reading more I read that it was a slow release protein. A slow release protein means the effects are delayed and also I had plenty of muscle cramps. I considered this product because of the good calorie count, also like any other person I wondered why it was so expensive and lastly I was a little skeptic because I had to take two glasses instead of one which means MORE MONEY but I'll try anything once so I went and ordered a 2 pound box.
How I used it? I used Pro Complex with very cold water and ice after finishing my workout. I used a mixer and had two glasses.
What happened next? This protein gave me immense energy to move my body, to pick up more weight, to never say die and to truly PUSH me to my farthest. I became leaner and I have to attribute this to the protein which surprisingly is also the best tasting protein I have ever drank. I am now so hooked and cannot do without it. I don't have any muscle cramps and as long as I take my two glasses of protein I feel better. I can do more exercises, more circuits without getting tired, even after workout though I'm exhausted I don't have any cramps. I haven't gained bulk but I have gained muscle, plenty of it and shall keep you guys updated on my progress. I also feel while this is giving me a lot of definition that if I do an extra round of heavier weights I will get more size in my arms and shoulders. This is not a meal replacement protein like Syntha 6 but it does keep you full because you drink two glasses but anyway lets look back at pros and cons.
PROS - No cramps, helps in maintaining energy by keeping away fatigue, Super Taste, moderate muscle sculpting, helped in P90X, killed lethargy
CONS - This is very difficult to find in India where I'm living at present. It is also very expensive and to top all that you have to take 2 glasses per workout making it the most expensive protein for me. I just hope I can always afford this but if you already go to a very fancy gym and have a trainer, make sure you ask yourself about the cost.
I shall keep you updated about my progress. Pro Complex will give you the fuel and the armor needed for an extensive workout. Syntha 6 gave me enough ammo to do a workout comprising of limited movement and weight training but Pro Complex is maybe two levels more concentrated and is utterly flawless.
Update you soon, HSA

It's the Aminogen Jan 25, 2011
By Jeff Durbin
"jeffreydurbin"
OK, the title of the review is a bit misleading because it is not JUST the Aminogen but one of the ways Optimum Nutrition separates their protein products from other brands is their use of Aminogen. It's a rather pricey additive that increases the body's ability to absorb the protein as it passes through the digestive system. What's the point of buying protein powder and then having some portion of it pass through your system unabsorbed? The fact that ON pays the extra cost to include Aminogen in their product tells me a lot about their attitude towards their materials.
I will add one additional comment though. I never use two scoops of the protein because most people's digestive systems cannot absorb that much even with the Aminogen.
I have used ON's Hydrowhey, which is micronized ("pre-digested") so it gets absorbed into the bloodstream as quickly as possible. That's a good product if you need a quick shot of protein before working out. The ideal use is if you workout early in the morning then it's the best way to get primed after you get up before you head to the gym.
I also use ON's casein powder. Casein is also from milk but it is larger molecules so it gets absorbed MUCH slower than whey. It's kind of the opposite of micronized whey protein.
I have had good results with all of the Optimum Nutrition products.
I try to buy ON Pro Complex APS for $11 per pound or less including tax and shipping. That's a good price. This does NOT apply to the "Gainer" version though which is packed with carbohydrates for those 98 pound weaklings trying to add weight.
