Perfect Replacement Aug 28, 2011
By JAS I could NOT find a local replacement part so I ordered this product on-line; I should have saved the gas money. It was a perfect replacement at a reasonable price and my yard lamp post light is on from dusk to dawn so I'm very pleased!
Works with CFLs Mar 19, 2012
By Michael R I had trouble with a previous photo control causing my CFL lamps to pulsate rapidly at dusk. Apparently, the current wasn't turned fully on initially and the effect was something like trying to dim CFLs. (Doesen't work well without specific CFL bulbs that are designed for dimming.) The manufacturer listed the 4000 Series as being compatible with CFLs. My experience is that the product performs as advertised and the pulsating behavior has gone away.

I purchased this sensor to replace one that was malfunctioning. Is very easy to install to existing wired box. Hope this one lasts another 20 years as the one it replaced.
