Excellent Photo-cell For Light Control. Mar 24, 2012
By R. E. WORSLEY The Intermatic brand has proven to me to be one of the better photo-cells. They seem to be most sensitive to daylight and my post lamp is one of the last to come on in the evening and first to go off in the morning, in my neighborhood. The K4021C is a neat & compact unit that I have installed directly in the lamp post. If possible, aim the lens as close to due north as you can, for best sensitivity.

Perfect Replacement Part! Mar 10, 2012
By Courtney S. Putnam
"C.S. Putnam"
I bought this sensor to replace a failed sensor in my Lights of America 9050 50 Watt High Pressure Sodium Wall Light, Bronze. On the light, one of the wires had become disconnected. When I went to investigate, the original sensor shatterd in my hands like a crystal figurine. I thought the light was garbage. Then I happened upon this little sensor. For under seven bucks I was able to make this light work like new again. This sensor seems to be functioning even better than the original with is now considered obsolete (I tried buying one). This is definately recommended.

Intermatic photo control Dec 31, 2011
By Malcolm L. Mac Leod This is an inexpensive and completely adaptable daylight photo control, and small enough to fit almost anywhere. It's just what I needed, and I suspect the same for you.

Size description is incorrect... Sep 23, 2011
By J. Baker The size of the side mounting is 5/8" (not 3/8" as described). Other than that it seems to be well built.

worked well for a week Apr 21, 2012
By Lynn A I selected this one because of the reviews, the brand, and the electrical ratings. (what's with all the photo switches at Amazon and other on-line stores with no voltage/current/bulb type ratings?). The stated mount size is correct, since conduit fittings like water pipe fittings go by ID rather than OD. I installed it and it worked great for a week. After I threw the box away, it stopped switching on at dark. Rechecked connections several times and tried changing the bulb with no joy. My light is a single 27W florescent; well under the 15A rating. Still looking for a decent photo switch that will last more than a year.
