Very useful timer in an age of rising electric bills May 27, 2011 By Cook & Collector "Qualified Foodie"
How many times have we all left on lights, fans and other electric items? This resolves the issue of guests leaving bathroom fans on only for us to discover days or weeks later. Very easy to use, quiet and effective. Now, one can shower and leave the fan going while we head out the door to work knowing that the bathroom will be aired out and the fan shut off automatically after a set period of time. Great idea!

This Intermatic wall timer is easy to use. With just the touch of the button, you can select the length of time to use this timer. We purchased it to use with super-quiet bathroom exhaust fan. I never have to worry that someone forgot to turn the fan off. The timer does the work for you. Very reliable with a smart design.

Break after 3 months of light usage Sep 21, 2011 By Light
I bought three of these to use for the bathroom fans. One of them quit to work after only 3 months of light usage (use only one time a day).

Update: I went to manufacturer's web site to claim warranty service. The web site generated an warranty claim number automatically. I printed out the email of warranty claim confirmation page and the Amazon.com receipt, and I faxed both to the manufacturer. It got approved at the same day, the replacement timer was sent out the next day. I give it a 5 stars for its superb customer service.

Works Well But won't go flush to face plate. Oct 07, 2011 By Bainbridge Matt
Works as advertised. One downside is that I can't seem to get it 100% flush with the switch cover plate. It gets close but it is still slightly recessed. I tried spacers but they push it out too far and the plate won't go flush to the wall. The other regular switches that box have not problem getting flush to the face plate.

I bought two of these wall timers to use with our bathroom fans. It's a great way to just tap the switch when the fan is needed, and be able to walk away and forget about it with the fan running for the rest of the day. You can run the fan for as long as an hour for hot steamy showers or those "challenging" bathroom visits. Installation is straightforward. The only slight downside is the cost, but the convenience was worth it for us.
