Great tasting high quality protein shake Jul 24, 2009
By Ryan James This is one of the tastiest protein shakes I've ever had...and I've had quite a few. Not only that, the protein is a high quality source: caseinate and milk proteins. A lot of poor quality bars and drinks rely on soy protein, which is cheaper and not as good (especially for men), so I always look for whey or milk proteins. Casein is especially great because it digests very slowly, and I drink these a couple of hours before bed to keep some protein going to the muscles while I sleep.

This is good stuff. Jan 03, 2011
By David M. Hornbake This tastes good enough to drink warm, and I have one about an hour before my workout and another right after. At 100 cals a pop, its not a big deal at all. And if I don't take this, recovery the day after a workout is not nearly as nice.

Recovery Drink Aug 18, 2010
By Michael Hallecook
"Anahuac"
I use this drink following my daily run as an aid for recovery. It has good flavor for a "light" protein drink, and I rate it higher than the EAS version especially in taste. I bought it through Amazon at $5.63 a four-pack which is over a dollar savings from what I paid at the local store (Houston Texas), so the price is also excellent.

A protein drink low in saturated fat is not just for chicks Jan 12, 2012
By Joey This product is my top choice for a protein drink. It tastes great, it is loaded full of protein, and it doesn't have the HUGE amount of fat and saturated fat that was a characteristic of the original muscle milk drink. One of these is definitely not big enough for the average dude, so man up and drink two! Even with a double, you'll still be saving your heart from the artery clogging action of the original.

Cloyingly sweet, artificial taste Aug 17, 2011
By Observant I I really wanted to enjoy this product. WIth such a strong nutritional profile and only 100 calories, this Muscle Milk Light ready-to-drink shake in vanilla creme would appear to be a great supplement for people working out or attempting to manage hunger. Unfortunately, the intensity of the artificial sweetener completely overwhelms the shake. Each sip tastes of acesulfame and sucralose, followed closely by the artificial vanilla taste. The "creme" shows up in the tongue-coating effect of the shake. Even diluted 1:4 with water, this shake was simply unpalatable. I gave the remaining shakes to my diabetic coworker, who didn't care much for them either.
Other flavors may taste better, but CytoSport might consider reducing the amount of sweetener in their shakes. I'm back to using my Blender Bottle and protein powder for now.
