5Works great for its intended purpose -- bought 2 for my BB Bold  Sep 19, 2009 By G. Oh "gadget fanatic"
I was a little surprised to figure out that my BB Bold had a 3.5" connector -- this lets me use my old headsets with my Blackberry.
Just to recap: this is a 2.5" female to 3.5" male adapter for the typical cell phone or home cordless phone headset that most of us have.
Your headset (2.5" male end) goes into the female end of the adapter, and the male end (3.5") of the adapter goes into the Blackberry. Sorry to sound redundant, but one of the reviewers knocked the product because he thought it was designed to solve the opposite problem lol :-)

I use this with both a Bang and Olufsen Earset 1 Home and a Plantronics M175C headset. I bought an extra adapter so I could use a headset in the car as well. Bluetooth car speakerphones are nice, but there's too much road noise above 60+ mph, hence the headset.

1Useless for Blackberry  Jan 06, 2010 By K. Quigley
I notice the description has changed slightly with the (F) and (M). This is useless as a Blackberry Steroe Headset Adapter which requires a 2.5mm (M) end. I do not know why it is advertised as a Blackberry adapter. You cannot connect it to a Blackberry 8830. I should have returned it but did not bother.

5Converts mono 2.5mm 3 conductor headset with mic to 4 conductor stereo 3.5mm headset with mic jack works with HTC Touch Pro 2  Nov 18, 2009 By Christopher P. Tanger
Converts a mono 2.5mm 3 conductor headset with mic to 4 conductor stereo 3.5mm headset with mic jack.
1) Seems to be of good quality.
2) Right angle plug! Many have a straight plug which on a phone is very inconvenient, won't last long, and may even damage the jack in your phone.
3) Works with a Sprint HTC Touch Pro2

I use this so I can plug in a 2.5mm traditional wired noise cancelling monural phone headset with mic.
I don't like to use bluetooth because there is too much radio interference with bluetooth in major cities from wireless networks, cordless phones, etc. resulting in poor audio quality, something I try to avoid while doing business on the phone.

5Headset adapter for blackberry  Oct 20, 2009 By Harry Drew
Excellent, liked it so much, I bought 5 more just for the hell of it, to have them around. needed it b/c most of the headsets I use are 2.5. Blackberry has a 3.5 tip.

1Do not fit into a blackberry 2.5 mm jack  Aug 05, 2009 By Daniel Allison
I thought the product was made to fit into the headphone jack on most blackberry devices ( a 2.5 mm stereo headphone jack) and then allow for a normal headphone jack (3.5 mm) to connect so that you could use regular headphones with your blackberry. In fact this does the exact opposite and allow you to use blackberry headphones (2.5mm) in a standard headphone jack (3.5mm). Not sure who would want to do this?
