Great water fun Jan 30, 2009
By Pansy My grandson is only 4 but became interested in submarines. We bought him a couple of "baby ones" and then saw this at a good price. It works great! It has amazing propulsion and diving ability. And is easy enough to operate by a 4 year old. However, it's a bit much for bathtub use, you're going to need a swimming pool to get the best use out of it. Also, it needs to be taken apart and dried out after every use, not something that kids are going to remember to do without reminders from parents. I'm thinking that the longevity of it as a toy is going to be directly related to how involved the parent is with its after-use care.

Fun when it works Jan 12, 2009
By D. Lipe We bought this for our son for Christmas to use in our new pool. It was great fun on Christmas day, but stopped working Christmas night. After we disassembled it, air dryed it and then reassembled it, it began to work again. It seems to be letting water get into the printed circuit board. I have tried to seal it up and hope that this will extend the play time before it is waterlogged.

Sooo much fun May 09, 2010

Got this for my 5 y.o grandson. He is mesmserized by it. He figured out the remote in no time. works as stated-I didn't have any problems as some stated. Can't wait to use it in the pool now that weather is heating up. can't make any statements as to durability until we use it to the full. Its a crime that the batteries dont last long- but then I dont know of any toy that has a long battery life.

A little feedback May 12, 2009
By Michael Pellegrin The toy was (as specified) refurbished. Good Condition (as specified)
and works like a charm. This is 1 (out of 3) subs that works; the others
had to be returned.

A Bad Idea Jun 19, 2011
By Bobalooga Despite the numerous complaints I saw here, I took a leap and hoped I would be one of the lucky ones whose product functioned. Received item within expected time frame. It worked for ten minutes, then the "Up" button ceased function. Over the next 20 minutes, the other buttons followed suit. It has been dead since that first day. Attempted to contact Pool Butler: sent email May 31. EIGHT days without reply. They finally replied with an offer to replace the product a few days later, then completely failed to follow through. I am stuck with a useless hunk of plastic. My fault for not seeing these reviews for what they are, a dire warning against this junk. Horrible product, horrible customer service. Only buy this if you like expensive trash."
