Description

The '70 Boss 429 Mustang showed just how important the high performance image was to Ford at the dawn of the 1970's. In sharp contrast to the well balanced Boss 302, Ford built the 429 with only one thing in mind - brute power. And moving from 0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds was all the proof anyone needed. Choice of custom mags, Magnum 500 wheels or custom 19" wheels with low profile tires. Dual 4 bbl. with high-rise manifold or stock engine.

This kit can be built in 1 of 3 ways:

a factory stock 1970 Boss 429
a customized Street machine with dual quads on a tunnel ram intake manifold
a modern "Motor City Muscle" machine

Mustang body accurately molded in white polystyrene plastic. Choice of custom chrome mags, chrome Magnum 500 wheels or large diameter chrome custom wheels. Choose to ride on a set of standard or low-profile vinyl tires with realistic tread design. Complete interior detail. Build a highly detailed dual quads on a tunnel ram intake manifold or stock engine. Waterslide custom graphic and authentic factory stock decals. Requires paint and glue (not included).

My 9 year old wanted to get into modeling I let him select this kit from the local hobby store--even though I knew it wasn't age appropriate. I was surprised he was able to do the major assembly pretty much himself after I got him started. This is a nice little kit. Lots of engine detail, nice chrome, and the street vs stock options were great.

Beware this kit needs advanced paint to look good. Also there are some assembly that requires tricky glue up. Some very small parts. Not a beginner or kit appropriate for under 10.

I am 13 years old and this was my first model. I made it the street version with the stock rims and painted the exterior Purple-Lucious and the interior semi-gloss black. I have made many and this one still remains my favorite. Any 3 n'1 model is great. You should deffinitley get this if you are pondering about it.

The nicest thing about this model is the fact that you have options on how you build the model. It is really nice to have these options all included in the box and be able to select which direction your build is going later.

Some of the assembly can be bit challenging and the paint requires advanced skills to get the results shown in the picture (but really, what model doesn't require touch in painting and gluing?). However, in all, this kit is a great deal for the money and a lot of fun to put together.

The pieces are great and the building options as a tunned Mustang or a conventional street are amazing. I bought two sets of them and gonna build a great diogram!!!
